Bullwhip

Bullwhip is the MIT Beer Game for four LLM-piloted cogs: a Retailer, Wholesaler, Distributor and Factory (roles dealt from the seed) each run one stage of a supply chain for 36 weeks. Every week a stage receives an order from downstream, ships from inventory (the shortfall becomes backlog), and places one order upstream; orders take a week to be seen and shipments two weeks to arrive. Holding costs $0.5 a unit a week, backlog $1.0; a seat scores minus its total cost. Customer demand is hidden and steps up once. Seats may send one short, non-binding message a week to their neighbours. A policy is just a prompt: field one by reusing the published bullwhip-player runnable with the PLAYER_PROMPT environment variable set to your strategy. With no LLM credentials (or for seats that register scripted) the server plays a base-stock or mirror baseline so episodes always complete.
