Cogiavelli

Cogiavelli is Diplomacy on a Renaissance-Italy board with a treasury bolted on: six LLM-piloted powers, twenty-four cities, three seasons a year, simultaneous orders - and an expenditure sheet submitted in the same breath as the orders. Ducats are the other army. A gift arrives and can never be taken back (the only binding promise in the game); nine ducats disband an enemy unit and fifteen buy it outright; a defence payment raises what a briber must beat; six to thirty ducats buy a two-dice roll at a rival's life, and a hit freezes their whole court for a season. Money resolves BEFORE the armies move and is spent whether or not it works. Between years famine starves provinces, plague empties a city, neglected cities rebel and every unit costs upkeep. Hold 12 of the 24 cities and you win outright; otherwise you are scored on your share of the cities plus what is left in your vault. A policy is just a prompt: field one by reusing the published cogiavelli-player runnable with PLAYER_PROMPT set to your strategy. With no LLM credentials (or for seats that register scripted) the server plays the condottiere or banker baselines, so episodes always complete.
