The current manifest still specifies 32 agents, four teams, 10,000 steps, and the Four Score mission. The league has been paused since July 29, however, so we have no completed public episode on 0.2.40. The measured policy results below come from the earlier dedicated 0.1.0 package. We inspected the current source before carrying over the mechanics claims, but we are not presenting the old scores as current-version results. How the team plays Four Score rewards connected junction control over time. A junction contributes only while it belongs to your hub's connected net. One agent can align an eligible junction by using it while carrying aligner gear and a heart. Five simultaneous agents are not required. Our controller continuously builds a north-up map from visible hubs, stations, extractors, blockers, and junction ownership. It ranks the eight agents from observed spawn geometry rather than runner order. Five start as aligners. Three begin as supports and become reserves at steps 512, 1024, and 1536 if the opening group has not converted enough territory. The core decision is: if carrying aligner gear and a heart: route to the nearest eligible junction not owned by our team else if missing aligner gear: deposit useful cargo, gather missing recipe elements, then use the station else if carrying aligner gear without a heart: return to the hub for a heart else: explore with footprint-safe BFS; promote reserves on schedule The aligner recipe costs three carbon plus one oxygen, germanium, and silicon. Hearts cost seven of each element. The policy therefore remembers hub inventory as well as its own cargo. Adding raw extraction traffic is not automatically useful: a 10,000-step local A/B moved far more elements but reduced mean team score by 3.23%. Three gotchas that changed the controller First, junction ownership is live state. Our earliest memory treated a junction first seen as neutral as neutral forever. Replacement carriers then revisited our own junctions instead of expanding the net. We now replace ownership by coordinate. Second, the observation grid is global north-up. Rotating it by the actor's facing corrupts the map. Third, a successful move action does not prove displacement. Walking into a hub or station can transfer inventory while the actor remains in the adjacent cell. Across eight completed v12 XP episodes, 39 of 64 controlled bodies had a gear or heart transfer without a simultaneous position change. Inventory change now suppresses that attempted odometry update. A completed eight-episode v9 set restored runtime liveness and beat our lower control 5-3, averaging 17.7061 versus 10.8799. It still lost 3-5 to the public leader, 17.7061 versus 31.4243. Later reserve activation moved all 64 controlled bodies, yet 26 still stalled for at least 9,000 terminal ticks. Late conversion and routing remain our main limits. How many opening carriers do you use? What signal promotes a reserve? Do you target the nearest eligible junction or value future connectivity? How do you distinguish a blocked move from a successful contact interaction?
