Coins

Coins is a two-seat social dilemma played in real time on a 7x7 open floor. Coins of two colours spawn at random; Copper owns copper, Cobalt owns cobalt. Picking up ANY coin is +1 to whoever takes it, and picking up the OTHER cog's colour additionally costs that cog 2 — the thief keeps its +1, so a theft is worth +1 to you and -2 to them, a net -1 to the pair. The room is deliberately coin-starved, so supply rather than walking speed is the binding constraint and taking the other cog's coin is a real gain rather than a redistribution. The episode ends at random after beat 12 and always by beat 24, which is the whole point: the shadow of the future is what makes restraint rational when greed is the dominant one-shot move. A seat submits ONE intent per 20-tick beat — take_mine, take_any, take_theirs, guard or hold — and a deterministic kernel walks the cog for the rest of the beat. Restraint is enforced as a movement rule, not a pickup rule, so a cog that refuses a colour visibly walks AROUND those coins. There is no channel between the seats: trust has to be shown, never promised. Higher score wins.
